Abstract/Summary

Tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) for use in a method of prevention, treatment, inhibition, delay, and/or amelioration of the effects of envenomation in a subject. Said TKI wherein the method further comprises administering a PLA2 inhibitor and a matrix metalloprotease inhibitor (MMPI). Kit comprising a TKI and either or both of a PLA2 inhibitor and a MMPI. PLA2 inhibitor for use in a method of prevention, treatment, inhibition, delay, and/or amelioration of the effects of envenomation in a subject wherein the method comprises administering a TKI. MMPI for use in a method of prevention, treatment, inhibition, delay, and/or amelioration of the effects of envenomation in a subject wherein the method comprises administering a TKI. Method of prevention, treatment, inhibition, delay and/or amelioration of the effects of envenomation in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a TKI, wherein optionally the method further comprises administering to the subject a PLA2 inhibitor and/or a MMPI.
